Workout Day 1

The potential to work with the APD has turned into a motivator to get back into shape. Last week I told Delilah that today August 25th was going to be the start of my workout program. I have decided to begin my work out program with 30 minutes of running/walking and then sit ups and push ups five days a week. Eventually I will work towards running three miles, when that takes place I will run three miles, three days a week and do some weight training the other two days at the Y. My goal is to drop from 217 pounds to 190 pounds for a total loss of 27 pounds almost 12.4% of my current weight.
Let's recap day one of my new workout plan.
  • Man I am more out of shape than I realized
  • Ran for 2 minutes
  • Walked for 28 minutes
After the run/walk I did 20 sit ups and 13 push ups. It's much tougher to do those when your body is already a little tired.

You should do a warm up walk for 5 minutes, then your strength training, and then run/walk the rest of your time. That way your muscles aren't to tired to work during the strength training.
