Children and Sponges

Sometimes I think I should give Jude a child performance evaluation, it would be like an employee performance evaluation. I wonder how Jude would do on it. Don't get me wrong, he is a great kid. But he has some things I wish he wouldn't do. His fit throwing, or sometimes his likes to talk like a baby and not use complete sentences. Last week Elise and him were playing a make believe game in the dining room, he told Elise "Let's get the h*ll out of here." I was like what? Jude did you say h*ll? He replied that he did. I had him sit at the table so he could tell me where he heard that from. He never did tell me, I think he sat at the table for over 10 minutes. I went through a list people/things he might of heard it from. I even included Delilah and myself on list. Earlier in the week we were driving back from Wal-Mart, he said bam it that house, bam it that house. Once again Delilah and I were like what? He tried to deny that he said bam it. We think he knows what he was saying was wrong even though he did not say it correctly. He never did say where he heard that one from. Oh kids, how they are such sponges.

Don't really feel like blogging much

Well it has been a while since I last blogged. I just don't really feel like blogging that much. It is not like I don't have the time to do it, right now I have all the time in the world. I applied for a sales assistant position in Akron, I also interviewed for a youth pastor position in Canton. I met with the pastor and took a quick tour of the church. It seems like it has a lot of potential. I am excited about both possibilities. Delilah is also applying for several positions as well.
Last night I assisted with our youth group for the first time. It was a group of sixth graders. I have to be honest, it was very interesting. I think that this might have been the first time I have actually worked with a group of sixth graders in this type of setting.

Ryan Newman and the Daytona 500

My in-laws were in town recently and my great father in-law was surprised that I hadn't put a post up on my blog about the Daytona 500. Since I have a little free time I figured I would put a post on my blog about the race.

It was a great race, a special race. It was the 50th running of the Daytona 500. The Daytona 500 is considered the race of all races. It is a coveted prized among drivers. I was excited when Newman crossed the finish line first. I was jumping up and down and pumping my fists into the air. I think the kids thought I was crazy. Go Newman.

Where to from here?

Where to from here?
How do I provide again?
Just when things were looking stable.
Month to Month.
Back into the hole I go.
I must lead.
Be the provider.
Which way do I turn.
Disappointment, disappointment
Where to from here?
