A Poll

Many of you know by now I am in the hunt for a new job. I have one job lead right now and am just waiting to see what happens. The is another job opening I found in Johnson City, TN., which would be a great place to live considering how close it is to Bristol, TN. None of what I mentioned has anything to with this post. My question is........(hypothetical.....of course).............
If the wife had the opportunity to make some major money, possibly enough to let her husband stay home and not have to work.........but it involved some travel time away from the family........Possibly with a crazy guy..........(not bad crazy.......just funny crazy)...........would you (A)hey honey go on off to work, I'll manage, or (B)No way are you traveling with out me and the kids specially with that crazy guy, or (C)Well there really is no answer available.

Remember the options are:
(A)go ahead off to work, I'll manage
(B)No way, not with that crazy guy
(C)Your own answer, if you really want to put one.

I would not have to ALWAYS travel with that guy...probably only during training???? I don't even know...we are only assuming. I am not sure how much travel is involved. Jake and the kids could come with me.

I guess it all depends on if you want to be a stay at home dad, taking on a lot of responsibility, and also if you trust your wife enough to do what she has to do.

Welllll, I normally would say B, END of discussion! However, lets think this through: Money isn't everything, but if you are in a position where you need the money (maybe for a down payment on a house, ect.) this could be the solution. How much traveling would be involved, and how often? I have the answer to all your problems: You could move to TN, both get jobs and "live happily ever after"..THE END

Only the two of you can work this out, and I'm sure you will make the right decision. When it comes down to it I don't think Delilah will stay away from you and the children very long.

I tend to agree with deie. Delilah won't be away from home for long. I did it for the duration of Shelter Care so it can be done. but I don't think on a perminent basis

Lots of details unknown, but in general, check the Good Book first. Then check it from a "deathbed" perspective. Then take it from there.

Hey...you need to define "crazy" because after all I think you might be talking about someone I know and love.

I will be different and say (C) and my answer is wait. I think if you wait and think about this more, (not that your not going to do that anyways) it will be an easier decision to make. I dont' want to see either one of you go out of state, but I want you both to be happy as well. And if you are bummed all the time or even if you have all the money in the world but don't have time to spend it you can't be happy. Some traveling is good though, and if anyone can be a stay at home dad it is you. I will pray for you.
