Today I found out that a charter bus was involved in an accident in Georgia at 5:30 this morning. The bus was on its way to Florida, it was carrying the baseball team from Bluffton University (formally Bluffton College). I probably don't know anyone that was on the bus but that is not what matters. Bluffton is a school of just over 1,100 students. It is a very close knit community. When I attended Bluffton a former student was killed during a freak tree cutting accident in Orrville, Ohio. That incident shook the campus. I can't imagine what this accident will do since it claimed 6 lives. You can read the article at FoxNews.
Although I am no longer a part of Bluffton this accident still effects me. It's hard to explain it.

I had forgotten you had attended Bluffton. We have been touched, too, just hearing it was students from Ohio. We are thankful for all those who survived and grieve with the families and friends of those who didn't.
